本节基于图像灰度的不连续性讨论根据灰度的突变检测边界以此为基础进行图像分割。
边缘像素是图像中灰度突变的像素而边缘是相连边缘像素的集合。线是一条细边缘线段其两侧的背景灰度与线段的像素灰度存在显著差异。孤立的点是一个被背景像素围绕的前景像素或一个被前景像素围绕的背景像素。
导数可以用来检测灰度的局部突变
一阶导数通常产生粗边缘二阶导数对精细细节如细线、孤立点和噪声的响应更强二阶导数在灰度斜坡和台阶过渡处会产生双边缘响应即二阶导数在进入和离开边缘时的符号相反二阶导数的符号可用于确定边缘的过渡是从亮到暗还是从暗到亮。
计算图像中每个像素位置的一阶导数和二阶导数的方法是空间卷积。对一个 3*3 模板计算模板区域内灰度值与模板系数的卷积。 2.3 边缘模型
边缘是图像的基本特征。边缘检测是根据灰度突变来分割图像的常用方法。边缘检测可以大幅度的减少数据量剔除不相关、非关键的信息保留图像中最重要的结构特征。
图像的边缘一般指局部不连续的的图像特征边缘点是灰度阶跃变化的像素点即灰度值变化显著导数较大或极大的地方。
边缘模型可以根据灰度剖面来分类
台阶模型对应于阶跃信号边缘模型是灰度级在相邻像素点发生垂直的台阶突变斜坡模型对应于斜变信号边缘模型是灰度级变化的斜坡屋顶模型是线的模型用于细特征的建模。
考察一阶导数与边缘的关系从暗到亮过渡时在恒定灰度区域一阶导数为零二阶导数为零斜坡上的一阶导数为正在斜坡开始处二阶导数为正在斜坡结束处二阶导数为负。
因此1一阶导数的幅度可以检测图像中的某个点处是否存在一个边缘2二阶导数的符号可以确定像素处于边缘的暗侧还是亮侧3二阶导数的过零点可以定位粗边缘的中心位置。
但是实际图像的边缘不一定是理想模型导数曲线往往都含有噪声二阶导数对于噪声更加敏感。因此通常的边缘检测步骤是原始图像–平滑图像–锐化图像–边缘判定–二值化–边缘连接–边缘图像。
